- PARKING - there is only one road in and out of Polruan so we recommend parking at the top of the village just past the welcome sign into Polruan - at the Vevery Car Park, or subsequently further down the hill to the right at the car park on St Saviour's Hill and then walking down to the Quayside. Please don't try to drive down to the quay if you can help it. Access to the car park on the Quay is available year-round (except on August Bank Holiday Monday), but there are less than ten spaces and these are usually occupied for long term parking and deliveries.
- FERRY - If you are driving, Bodinnick car ferry is 4 miles away, but the passenger ferry from Fowey drops you directly at the Quayside and usually runs all day from 7-11pm during the summer. The car ferry runs from 7am until 8.45pm during summertime too (specific times for both can be obtained here). Please note that off-season ferry times can be drastically reduced and weather dependant.
- DOGS - animals are not allowed on the beach, Coal Wharf or the school playing field near Vevery Car Park coastal path.
- PLAYGROUND - situated at the top of the hill by St Saviours Car Park, our playground boasts perhaps THE most stunning view of any playground in the country and caters for young children to mid-aged children. Set at the Apex of Polruan Hill, this play facility has two slides, monkey bars, swings, a roundabout and climbing equipment set over acre of land. The area is fenced in and dogs are not allowed to enter. Now new gym equipment-the best view from any gymnasium.
- REFRESHMENTS - are available on the town quay, from Jam First Tearooms, Kitty's Tearoom, The Lugger Inn pub, The Russell Inn pub In addition, every Monday evening from 5pm-7.30pm Meaty Snacks catering van will also be at Vevery Car Park entrance serving hot food, such as burgers, kebabs and chips etc.
- SHOPS - The Polruan Store (Fore Street) and The Winklepicker store and Post Office (Quayside) will be open their regular hours.
- CASHPOINT - Cashpoint at Winklepicker only available when the Post Office is open -Monday.
- TOILETS - are situated on Polruan Quay and also up at the entrance to St. Saviour's Car Park near the children's playground.
- REGATTA PROGRAMMES - are available from the Winkelpicker and Polruan Store as well as the corner of East / Fore Street during mid-late August in the run-up to the Regatta along with T-shirts, raffle tickets. Patrons will have programmes delivered to their door. Proceeds from the sale of these programmes and Ball Roll numbers goes towards our fundraising endeavours. Each yearly programme has been generously supported by the advertisers - please do support them in return.
- REGATTA BEACH VOLLEYBALL - entry forms are available on the day or from the corner of East / Fore Street on the dates listed directly above & over the counter at The Winklepicker store Quayside.
