Join us for an unforgettable celebration in the historic shipbuilding village of Polruan. A vibrant, fun-filled weekend of sailing, beach galas, carnival parades, and children's sports on the beautiful River Fowey.
A Proud Cornish Tradition for Locals & Visitors Alike
Set within an historic shipbuilding village dating back to the fourteenth century, the Polruan Regatta takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend with festivities spanning throughout August.
We particularly enjoy welcoming and including visiting children and their families in our fabulous three-day celebration. Steeped in over one hundred years of tradition, all events are organized, marshaled, and funded by the Polruan Regatta & Children's Sports Organisation.
Our dedicated committee and community volunteers give freely of their time with one singular charitable goal: to raise funds to benefit the interests, welfare, and recreation of the children of the Parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey.

School Swimming Lessons
Supporting Polruan Primary School to provide cost-friendly, vital swimming and water safety lessons for all local children.
Family Food Boxes
Supplying essential food boxes to parish families during times of rising living costs to ensure no child is left behind.
Annual Adventure Trips
Funding fun excursions such as Lappa Valley Railway for younger children, Adrenalin Quarry for older youths, and Christmas Pantomimes.
Holiday Celebrations
Hosting Halloween village parties, Christmas trees on the Old Coal Wharf, and gifts from Father Christmas himself.
